Ras Al Khaimah casino 2026: Wynn Al Marjan opening guide for September 2027

Has Wynn Al Marjan opened?

Current position

The Ras Al Khaimah casino forms part of Wynn Al Marjan Island on Al Marjan Island, but it was still closed to the public on 10 August 2026. Wynn's newest official guidance gives September 2027 as the month when guests are due to arrive at the resort.

Status at a glance

The summary below separates finished work from future plans and dates each time-sensitive detail. Specifications and the opening schedule may change before launch, so every row is tied to the latest official reference available.

What kind of resort is Wynn Al Marjan Island?

A full resort rather than a casino alone

Wynn Al Marjan Island will be Wynn's first integrated resort in the Middle East and North Africa, and its developers call it the UAE's first. The plan combines a hotel, licensed gaming facility, dining, entertainment, retail, spa, beach, marina and events centre at one destination.

Site and development partners

The development covers more than 60 hectares on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, facing the Arabian Gulf. It is a joint venture involving entities linked to Wynn Resorts, Marjan and RAK Hospitality Holding, while Island 3 AMI FZ-LLC is the name shown in the gaming licence register.

Why the resort format matters

Thinking of the project as an integrated resort separates its announced amenities from its gaming details. Published material so far concentrates on accommodation, restaurants, the beach, events and entertainment, while Wynn has yet to release the detailed game mix.

Wynn Al Marjan's September 2027 opening

The newest official date

Wynn's second quarter results on 4 August 2026 say that guests will be welcomed when the resort opens in September 2027. That is the most specific month published so far, replacing pages that mention only 2027, the first quarter of 2027 or spring 2027.

How the earlier target moved

Earlier investor updates aimed for the first quarter of 2027, then Wynn said in May 2026 that a modest delay would be quantified later. The August release supplied that detail and set the current guidance at September 2027.

How firm is September?

A company results release is stronger evidence than a property listing or travel blog, yet it remains a forward-looking date for a resort still undergoing fit-out. Check the official resort website and Wynn investor releases before paying for a non-refundable journey.

From project announcement to planned opening

Milestones that reset the project status

Each announcement appears in order so an outdated target is not read as the current one. The sequence follows the Ras Al Khaimah casino from an initial proposal to a licensed facility under construction with a stated opening month.

Reading the November and December entries

A Wynn project story dates the 70-floor ceremony to 25 November 2025, while later corporate updates put the structural concrete milestone in December 2025. November therefore marks the site ceremony and December records the later construction update, rather than treating both references as one event.

Construction progress through August 2026

The tower and facade

In its 2 February 2026 release, Wynn said structural concrete had reached the roof of level 71 and that 21,852 of 26,471 facade panels were installed, or 83%. The guest site calls the building a 70-floor tower, while the work update refers to the level 71 roof. Both descriptions are kept here without deriving another floor count, and the published final target remains 352 metres above sea level after the spire is fitted.

Interior work and lower buildings

Elevators and escalators were being installed, while mechanical, electrical and finishing teams were working through the guest inventory. Concrete and structural steel work on the low-rise buildings had reached 99%, but that percentage does not mean those areas are ready for guests.

The Wynn Bridge connection

The new 548-metre Wynn Bridge is planned to connect the resort via Wynn Boulevard with E311 and E611. On 2 February 2026 it was 48% complete, with piling finished and nine of the ten bridge column pile caps in place. Wynn was then aiming to finish it in late 2026.

What August added

Wynn's August results said construction was moving quickly, and the second quarter presentation showed substantial interior work as of 15 July 2026. Neither source gave a newer facade or bridge percentage, so the February figures remain attached to their date instead of being extended by assumption.

Gaming floor and resort size in figures

The company's latest area figure

Wynn's 2025 annual report, filed in March 2026, records a gaming area of 225,000 sq ft. The equivalent is about 20,900 sqm, and this is the figure used because it comes from the newest direct corporate filing.

Where 18,500 sqm came from

Older property and news reports often quote an approximate gaming floor of 18,500 sqm, including results that are still easy to find. Wynn has not explained whether the two measurements describe separate spaces, so 18,500 sqm remains an earlier estimate and is not combined with the newer figure.

MeasurementWorking figureInterpretation
Gaming space225,000 sq ft, or about 20,900 sqmThe newest figure in Wynn's annual filing
Older figure repeated onlineApproximately 18,500 sqmAn earlier estimate rather than the lead figure

Hotel towerA 70-floor towerThe current description for guests
February structural measurement299 metres through the level 71 roofA dated construction figure, not the final height

What the floor area cannot tell you

Area alone cannot show how many tables or slots there will be, which games will be offered, or how space will be divided between public and private rooms. Wynn had not released those details by 10 August 2026, so a precise inventory needs a newer operator source.

Guest rooms, suites and residences

The 1,530-unit breakdown

Wynn's February construction update said all 1,530 accommodation units had reached structural completion, although interior fit-out continued. The breakdown keeps apartments, townhomes and estates within the total so the same unit is not counted twice.

Accommodation typeUnitsDescription published
Resort rooms1,217 unitsRooms and suites located in the main Resort Tower
Enclave suites297 unitsAn upper-floor hotel within the hotel
Royal Apartments2 apartmentsThe two apartments at the tower's top
Garden Townhomes4 homesSeparate garden homes included in the resort plan
Marina Estates10 residencesResidences positioned beside the marina
Grand total1,530 unitsThe currently announced guest inventory

What Enclave means

Enclave is Wynn's hotel-within-a-hotel arrangement on the upper floors, with a dedicated entrance, arrival area and lifts. It centres on suite accommodation and separate service, but Wynn has not announced rates, packages or the date when reservations will open.

Why 1,542 still appears

Older Wynn releases used the figure 1,542, and competitors continue to repeat it. The February 2026 construction release and current resort materials give a full category breakdown totalling 1,530, which is the total used in this guide.

Dining, theatre, shopping and art

Planned dining and drinking venues

The resort website lists 22 restaurants, bars and lounges, together with a daytime beach club, for hotel guests and other visitors. Wynn has identified a French-American steakhouse by Alain Ducasse and a second Delilah supper club, but restaurant reservations were still closed at the time of this update.

The Showroom and the Punchdrunk production

On 29 June 2026, Wynn announced an original Punchdrunk production for the resort's opening. The published concept gives guests a choice between a conventional seated show upstairs and a moving immersive experience downstairs and backstage, while performance dates and prices remain unpublished.

Shopping and the art collection

The plans include a naturally lit parterre for luxury shops, but Wynn has not released the complete store list. Art will appear in public areas and guest rooms, including Jeff Koons' 11-metre Tulips and historic and contemporary works by regional and international artists.

Beach, pools, spa and marina facilities

The waterfront plan

The design includes 420 metres of private white-sand beach and a deep-water marina intended for large yachts. A daytime beach club is also planned, although Wynn has not published day-pass prices or access rules for non-guests.

Pools and wellness facilities

Wynn lists 12 pools with cabanas and landscaped spaces, as well as a five-star spa, salon and fitness centre. Treatment prices, operating hours and pool entry conditions are not available yet, so they cannot be included in a dependable visit budget.

What families can expect

The official amenities list names a kids' club and outdoor recreation, so the resort's non-gaming areas are intended to welcome families too. Wynn has not released permitted ages, fees or supervision arrangements, and families should wait for the guest policy before arranging childcare.

Meetings and events at Coral Court

The 7,708 sqm events centre

Coral Court is planned as the resort's centre for celebrations and events, with a published area of 7,708 sqm. Its layout includes six meeting rooms that can be reconfigured, separate salons for brides and grooms, and private prayer rooms for men and women.

A Grand Ballroom without columns

The Grand Ballroom measures 2,633 sqm, has a column-free interior and faces the marina. The area lets organisers compare venues, but it does not give a seating capacity because tables, stages, aisles and production equipment change the usable arrangement.

Details to obtain before booking

As of 10 August 2026, Wynn had not issued venue packages, prices or minimum spends. When sales begin, request a written capacity plan and a quote that covers production, catering, cancellation and accessibility rather than calculating attendance from the floor area alone.

Getting to Al Marjan Island

Nearest airport and the drive from Dubai

The resort is on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, away from Dubai. Wynn's website puts Ras Al Khaimah International Airport at about 15 minutes by car, while a 2025 Wynn financing release estimated roughly 50 minutes from Dubai International Airport.

Resort shuttleNo timetable or fare has been publishedDo not build the trip around a service not announced by the operator

What Wynn Bridge will change

The 548-metre bridge is intended to give the resort a more direct connection to the wider road network, but the latest detailed release still treated it as a construction project. Wait for a Wynn completion notice or confirmation from a current mapping service before assuming it is open.

Arrival check for travel day

Confirm the final drop-off location after bookings begin because the hotel, events centre and marina may have separate entrances. Keep extra time in the itinerary, and do not pay for a transfer that is missing from a written reservation confirmation.

  • Verify the airport, terminal and flight number before booking transport.
  • Review E311, E611 and Wynn Bridge traffic on the travel day.
  • Ask the hotel to identify the entrance and baggage drop-off point.
  • Check parking, valet and accessible arrival arrangements when booking.

GCGRA licensing and the facility operator

Who holds the licence

The GCGRA licensee register places Island 3 AMI FZ-LLC, trading as Wynn Al Marjan, in the land-based gaming facilities category. On 4 October 2024, Wynn announced that this project entity had received the UAE's first commercial gaming facility operator licence.

What the licence covers

The register confirms that the named entity holds a GCGRA licence for this particular land-based facility. It lists The Game LLC separately as the UAE Lottery operator, so land-based facilities and lottery products use different licence categories. Once open, Wynn Al Marjan is positioned to become the first licensed casino in the Gulf Cooperation Council. The wider regulatory context is covered on our UAE gambling laws page.

Checks before opening

Before guests enter, Wynn must publish the gaming floor's final age, identity, admission, responsible gaming and complaints arrangements. Rules issued for other Wynn properties do not apply here until this facility publishes its own terms.

Details Wynn has yet to release

What was still unknown on 10 August 2026

Resort operations can change during the months before opening, so unknowns deserve the same attention as confirmed figures. The table prevents an email sign-up, design image or third-party offer from being read as a booking or a promise from the operator.

An email sign-up is not a booking

Wynn's pages collect email addresses and interests for news and early updates. This does not reserve a room, restaurant table or theatre seat, and it fixes neither price nor priority unless a separate booking confirmation arrives.

Three checks for new information

Begin with the resort website, match the licence to the GCGRA register, then compare the opening date with Wynn's newest investor release. When an official channel does not mention a detail, record it as unannounced rather than borrowing another resort's policy.

  1. Read the page or release date, not only the headline.
  2. Keep a construction target separate from an event that has happened.
  3. Save the booking confirmation and cancellation terms after sales open.

A responsible visit once the resort opens

Confirm age and set the budget

This page and its gaming content are for adults aged 18 and over. GCGRA advertising standards define anyone below 21 as underage for commercial gaming other than lottery. Wynn had not issued its final gaming-floor identity and admission policy by this update, so verify it before travelling and do not assume hotel access covers every resort area.

A sample budget in UAE dirhams

For a future one-day entertainment plan, use 800 United Arab Emirates dirhams (AED) as a teaching example, not as a Wynn price. Allocate AED 500 to transport, food and contingency, then set AED 300 as the fixed gaming ceiling whatever the result.

Clear limits for stopping

Choose the spending limit and end time before entering the gaming area, and keep extra cards or funds out of the plan. Once either limit is reached, leave instead of moving contingency money into another stake or chasing a loss.

  • Keep rent, bill money and borrowed funds away from gaming.
  • Do not increase a stake to recover an earlier losing round.
  • Set an alarm for the end of the session and take regular breaks.
  • Do not use an ATM after reaching the planned limit.
  • Use cooling-off or self-exclusion tools if Wynn publishes them and a break is needed.

When support is needed

Stop when gaming leads to concealed spending, borrowing, anxiety, or neglect of work and relationships. Our responsible gambling guide explains warning signs, a stopping plan and ways to seek support.
